NEXT COMES THE PREPARATION SESSION... The day begins with an
overview of the intervention process. Next comes the individual
interviews. Enabling, denial, and unhealthy boundary issues are
discussed. Factual information and concerns are not watered down or
candy coated. They are expressed in a concise and nonjudgmental way.
All the positive qualities of your loved one are documented, and
become an important part of your love letter. The intervention
specialist creates a detailed and easy to follow outline from which
your letter will be written. Once letters are fine tuned, they are
read out loud. Emotions flow and healing can begin. The role-play
experience can have as much impact on you as the actual
intervention. What began as perhaps a disjointed nervous group now
emerges as a unified empowered and prepared team. All the details
